Futureproofed innovation provides extra-long, extra-deep, bug-busting solution for people with disabilities
Abacus Specialist Bathroom Solutions is this month launching its latest futureproofed innovation – the pioneering Aries 2000 bath.
Building on the proven effectiveness of the existing Aries 1700 and 1800 baths, the Aries 2000 is a generously-spaced, 2m-long solution that provides comfort and support for a wider range of disabled bathers.
It provides an extra-long, deeper and wider experience ideal for larger children, teenagers and adults, so that appropriate bathing can be provided for longer.
A bath for life, the electrically-powered model is fully height adjustable and suitable for a variety of needs – particularly effective for individuals who require hoist transfer.
And its smooth and controlled hi-lo functionality ensures carers can operate at safe working heights without the risk of musculoskeletal injury when providing personal care.
Aesthetics are contemporary. with a clear focus on safety. such as rounded corners and a low entry threshold.
Obstruction sensors provide added reassurance when lowering the bath, which has been strengthened to offer a 250kg safe working load. Hence, bariatric bathers can now benefit from an appropriate bathing solution for enhanced hygiene and wellbeing.
And, unique to baths from the Gainsborough Healthcare Group, the Aries 2000 incorporates pioneering BioCote antimicrobial technology, which provides 99.9%, 24/7 protection against harmful superbugs.
Built in during the manufacturing process, bath surfaces with this invisible silver-ion system significantly reduce the risk of infection from Influenza H1N1, E.coli, Salmonella and antibiotic resistance microbes.
Operation of the Aries 2000 is intuitive, with a simple roaming hand console and multiple bath options available, including thermostatically-controlled water, auto fill, chromotherapy, Bluetooth sound and Air spa. For bespoke comfort, the Aries is also compatible with a variety of accessories, including the new Abacus Laze net postural support.
Peter Eckhardt, Gainsborough Healthcare group chief executive, said: “Our new Aries 2000 bath represents a step change in care.
“For the first time you can offer futureproofed bathing to a wider range of clients who require hoisting transfers.
“No other bathing solution delivers such life-enhancing abilities as the new Aries 2000.”
