Company's engineers are keeping key equipment in working order as pressure on services increases

In light of the coronavirus outbreak, Bender UK is supporting consultants, contractors and hospitals to increase capacity.

The company’s engineers are classed as keyworkers and all carry letters enabling them to attend sites across the country for urgent repairs, call-outs, maintenance, or commissioning.

They have recently worked on the ExCeL Nightingale Hospital project and are providing support for other field hospitals now being set up elsewhere in the UK.

Increasing the headcount in its projects team, the company also has a stock of modular medical IT power systems (IPS) and UPS for urgent Group 2 works ready to go, as well as new portable and mobile lights ready for immediate supply.

And, as the UK supplier of Merivaara products, it is providing a number of Rapido mobile trolleys to hospitals and other health centres.

There are now plans to make more products more readily available in the coming weeks.

“We continue to follow and comply with the government guidelines, with our team working at home or directly in hospitals,” said a spokesman.

“Our priorities are to keep our people safe and ensure that frontline hospital teams are fully supported in their efforts to increase capacity and treat patients against the coronavirus.”
