Four-year deal to design and equip all new developments

Bernard Interiors has been appointed to the development team of luxury retirement village operator, Audley, in a four-year contract.

The contract is for the interior design and furnishings and equipment supply for all new developments and refurbishment projects across Audley’s portfolio, where Bernard Interiors will be dealing with contracts in excess of £200m.

Jen Bernard, managing director of Bernard Interiors, said: “Audley is the market leader in high-end retirement living and we’re delighted to be a partner in the development team.

“One of our specialist areas is in the care and retirement sector and our aesthetic approach is inspired by the best in residential and hotel design, to create unique, exceptional environments.”

Kevin Shaw, managing director of Audley, added: “Bernard Interiors understands our vision for our developments and provide a turnkey service. We know that investing in high-quality interior design is invaluable and enhances people’s lives.”

Audley owns 17 villages and manages around 1,800 properties. This number of units will double over the next five years as current villages are completed and new sites are acquired.

The villages enable owners to live an independent and healthy retirement in their own properties and enjoy full access to the onsite Audley Club facilities with flexible care and support available should it become necessary.

Owners buy their house or apartment from Audley and own it on a 125-year lease.
