Regulator issues warning amid fears over faulty devices

A warning has been issued after a batch of dental mouth mirrors began to break, presenting a choking hazard for users.

The Brilliant No 4 model from Hager & Werken has a fault that causes the mirror to become detached from the frame.

The problem affects devices with the item code number 605400 and lot number MD-4/31.

A Medical Device Alert issued by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) advises dentists and other providers to identify affected stock and contact patients who may have bought them.
