Doncaster Royal Infirmary – Entrance and ambulance bay canopy

Published: 28-Jun-2022

Following multiple successful installations in the sector, Fordingbridge were approached by the Trust to assist in the design and build of a 3m wide walkway canopy to provide a covered area for patients and paramedics leaving ambulances at the busy South Yorkshire hospital

Opting for a flat rafter mono-pitch structure, designed so as to allow access to all emergency vehicles, Fordingbridge worked collaboratively with a principal contractor to deliver the project. Using our in-house design team, we provided full foundation design to the PC following surveying the site, allowing for a swift installation on our arrival.

The 16mm triple-wall polycarbonate roof ensures strength and longevity to the structure, as does the durable polyester powder coated finish which was applied subsequently to a zinc coat. Manufacturing our canopies and walkways in our purpose-built factory allows us to ensure our output is of the highest quality; a testament affirmed by our industry leading guarantees which are provided as standard.

Fordingbridge advices: "If you have been tasked with a project to enhance patient experience at your hospital, or undertaking a new-build scheme with a requirement for weather-protected space, contact our experienced team today to see why we are the specialists in blue-light installations."
