New European congress to drive the application of research within the field of healthcare design
A new international event is being launched to drive the application of research into health policy and practice within the field of healthcare design.
The European Healthcare Design 2015 Congress & Exhibition is a global knowledge exchange forum that will help to drive the deployment of best-practice design interventions within the healthcare sector.
Congress attendees will be able develop their knowledge of the political and economic context, emerging practice, skills and core competencies for designing and commissioning health services, technology and infrastructure, project management, and the evidence-base for healthcare design and quality improvement.
With health systems across the world under increasing pressures from rising demand and related finance, it is critical that different health systems can learn from each other and create holistic solutions that recognise the relationship between service design, technology and the built environment
Subjects covered will include systems and service transformation, healthcare quality improvement, technology, arts and creativity, designing for specialist care environments, integrated care models, futureproofing, sustainable development, and health promotion.
Speakers will include Blair Sadler, senior fellow at the Institute of Healthcare Improvement in the US; David Pencheon, director of the NHS Sustainable Development Unit; Dan Wellings, head of insight and feedback at NHS England; and Candace Imison, director of healthcare systems at the Nuffield Trust.
The event will be held at the Royal College of Physicians in London from 22-23 June.
