Priority Health Digital's priority.you tool is helping signpost patients to the most-relevant caregivers, easing pressure on GPs

Priority Digital Health (PHD) has announced the findings of its priority.you online care navigation tool following a feasibility study funded by Innovate UK.

priority.you is the first online care navigation tool to help GP practices manage demand for appointments and support the signposting of patients to other NHS and community services.

PDH found that GPs and practice managers saw the advantage of a tool that digitised what many practices were beginning to implement with face-to-face triaging, which can be time consuming and costly.

And, with Health Enterprise East undertaking a wide-ranging project into the healthcare economy in England; PDH has been able to prove that priority.you is the first tool that will successfully manage patient demand by signposting patients before a GP appointment is offered.

During the feasibility study, undertaken with the help of patients, GPs, practice managers, and NHS managers; 60% of patients stated they would be happy to see others instead of a GP, as long as the NHS or practice endorsed the individual or service. And a total of 74% of patients would be happy to be seen by anyone.

Delivering interoperability through integration with its lifestyle services platform, priority.me, and social prescribing tool, priority.sp; priority.you is the only care navigation tool that seamlessly connects GP practices with lifestyle services and social prescribing support.

John Dibb, PDH director said; “priority.you going to market completes our suite of products creating a seamless patient journey and delivering patient choice.”
