MOORFIELDS Eye Hospital in London has purchased its 1,000th Keeler Vantage Indirect ophthalmoscope. To mark the procurement, and Keeler's long-standing relationship with Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, the company has also donated a digital version of the device - the Vantage Plus LED Digital - free of charge. Eric Ezra, director of vitreo retinal surgery at Moorfields, said it would be used to help train a new generation of surgeons, adding: "Teaching is one of the key areas we are developing and the digital ophthalmoscope is a valuable tool that really helps us to show our fellows what they need to be treating and the ongoing progress of treatment. I have worked very closely with Laura Haverley at Keeler to ensure we get the right product that will enhance and develop this very important work."
