Queen's Medical Centre, part of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, has installed a Philips BrightView XCT SPECT/CT gamma camera - a new system designed specifically for nuclear medicine. The equipment provides improved image quality in a compact package, offering the flexibility for it to be installed even when space is limited. Dr Rakesh Ganatra, consultant radiologist and nuclear medicine physician at the trust, said: "Combining a gamma camera with CT, all within a small footprint, is very new technology and means that the camera can fit conveniently into a standard nuclear medicine room."
