Gradus extends carpet portfolio to include the range specifically designed for care facilities

Gradus has launched its new Carezone carpet range, specifically designed for social care settings.

The range is available in 12 contemporary colours, which include a choice of popular natural shades, such as Warm Stone, Soft Taupe and Natural Truffle, along with a selection of brighter colours like Lilac Heather (plum), Mineral Spring (blue) and Moroccan Flair (terracotta).

Karen Burman, floorcoverings product manager for Gradus, said: “The Carezone carpet range has been designed to complement modern interior design trends in care homes, care facilities and accommodation. The range is ideal for bedroom and lounge environments and can be used to create attractive and practical interiors which provide comfort for residents, staff and visitors.

Carezone is a cut-pile carpet made from 100% polypropylene yarn and is supplied as a 4m-wide roll with an impervious backing and comes with a 10-year wear warranty.

Carezone has been developed with visual contrast in mind and each colour option has a light reflectance value (LRV) to help specifiers achieve visual contrast with adjacent surfaces. This helps to provide an inclusive environment in line with guidelines in BS8300:2009+A1:2010 and Approved Document M of The Buildings Regulations 2000.

Gradus offers a range of complementary carpets, which can be used alongside the Carezone range to provide solutions for zonal specification. For example, Gradus’ Genus carpet range is available in a choice of complementary colours and is ideal for corridor and circulation areas.
