Northgate Managed Services to work with AAH on procurement and lifecycle management
IT specialist, Northgate Managed Services, has secured a multi-million pound contract with pharmaceutical wholesale company, AAH.
The three-year partnership renewal will see Northgate providing pharmacy ICT Support for the company, which is the UK’s leading distributor of healthcare products servicing an extensive network of 2,300 independent pharmacies throughout England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.
The contract covers a broad range of procurement and lifecycle management services, with AAH customers benefiting from best value, efficient stock management and rapid response to, and minimal downtime from, any breakdowns.
Belfast-based Northgate, which was named IT Supplier of the Year at the British Computer Society & Computing UK Industry Awards 2011 , will also provide ongoing support to the pharmacies’ systems, which are designed to drive customer loyalty. In addition, the seven-figure contract covers spend for on-site pharmacy ICT support and procurement and implementation services.
AAH operates in 20 locations across the UK and moves approximately a third of all medicines around in the UK, making an estimated 100,000 deliveries a week, with more than 20,000 products stocked.
