Deal will see rollout of inventory management solutions

Ingenica Solutions has won the contract to provide inventory management solutions for Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The challenge to deliver more for less in the NHS has never been greater, and so there is increasing pressure on trusts to achieve efficiency savings while also ensuring that high levels of care provision are maintained. Ingenica provides the tools to allow Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to effectively manage costs, while reducing staff workload, without compromising patient care.

Ian Britcliffe, inventory management project manager at the trust, said: “It is great to reach the stage where Ingenica will help us transform our existing procurement through inventory management; it’s key to our supply chain excellence.

“Through implementing best practice inventory management it will enable our trust to take control of the processes, secure efficiency savings, and release valuable clinical time back to the patient.”

Ingenica recognises the cost constraints and supply chain challenges that NHS trusts across the country face. By application of proven, world-class systems and in partnering with trusts to share our experience and knowledge, Ingenica plans to positively change NHS procurement.

Founding director of Ingenica, David Ford, added: "We are looking forward to working closely in partnership with the trust staff to significantly upgrade and expand their existing system using our latest Atticus solution. Ingenica aims to continue delivering on the enviable reputation we have already earned for delivering both effective implementations and high levels of customer service."
