The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has selected SRC to deliver integrated clinical dictation technology. The solution will transform the trust's clinical document creation, production and distribution processes, with targeted savings of 10,000 hours a year. The agreement is the largest contract of its type in Europe, with a value in excess of £1m, and the software will be rolled out to more than 2,500 clinicians and medical secretaries across the trust's five hospitals. Powered by the Epro clinical toolkit which integrates Winscribe digital dictation and Dragon speech recognition with advanced workflow and templates, the solution includes automated dictation and transcription, speech recognition, online document approval, retrieval and distribution functionality. "This investment represents a significant milestone in our vision of innovative and cost-effective technology playing a key role in the provision of more effective patient care," said Alison Dailly, director of informatics at the trust.
