Lexacom has appointed Martin Wabara as its new head of sales.

Based at the company’s head office in Banbury, Oxfordshire, he will lead the UK sales team and be responsible for developing new markets for the expanding company.

He joins the Lexacom team from Syner-Med (Pharmaceutical), having previously worked for a number of healthcare organisations including AstraZeneca, GlaxoSmithKline and Danone. In addition, to his pharmaceutical experience, he brings with him a strong track record in business management, having worked with a range of professionals to find solutions to their business needs.

Working closely with managing director, Dr Andrew Whiteley, Wabara will be responsible for leading Lexacom’s UK sales team and identifying new opportunities for the company across the healthcare, legal and professional services sectors. His appointment comes at an exciting time for Lexacom, which has seen significant growth in sales both in the UK and overseas, through its partnerships in the United Arab Emirates and Australia.

Dr Whiteley said: “I am delighted to welcome Martin to our team. He brings a wealth of national sales and management experience and will be a real asset to our organisation as we move ahead with our plans for future growth.”

On accepting the role, Wabara said: “Having seen Lexacom software in action, I see great potential for the product. I’m looking forward to working with the rest of the team to show more organisations how Lexacom digital dictation can make public services and businesses run more efficiently.”
