Liverpool and Sefton Health Partnership, Galliford Try, and IBI Taylor Young presented with award for work on Kensington\'s Neighbourhood Health Centre in Liverpool

Liverpool and Sefton Health Partnership (LSHP) has won the regeneration category at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) North West awards.

LSHP, along with construction partner, Galliford Try, and architects, IBI Taylor Young, were presented with the award following their work on Kensington's Neighbourhood Health Centre in Liverpool.

The development was delivered by LSHP as part of the NHS Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) programme, to create a modern, innovative health and community facility.

Kensington's Neighbourhood Health Centre was also shortlisted in the Community Health Benefit category of RICS and is currently shortlisted for a further three awards at the North West Construction Awards, taking place tomorrow.

Michael Webb, general manager of LSHP, said: “When we first set out to undertake these plans for the Kensington programme, we had a clear vision of the attractive and modern health centres we wanted to deliver.

“Residents throughout the city are now able to enjoy access to modern health services, located closer to where they live and I am delighted that this vision is being fully recognised in the sector and throughout the region.”

The RICS Awards showcase the more-inspirational regional initiatives and developments in land, property, construction and the environment. The awards are decided based on the impact the project has on the community, how the end user feels about the scheme and what makes it stand out from the rest.
