Next-generation solution offers resistance to false alarms and cost-saving benefits

Stanley Healthcare has launched the next-generation fall monitoring solution - the M200 - with a sleek, durable design and quick, simple configuration to meet the needs of individual patients or residents.

Following the success of its predecessor, Tabs’ the new M200 Fall Monitoring System comes with a number of key enhancements, including improved resistance to false alarms and cost-saving benefits.

New individual delay settings allow the monitor to be set with 0, 1 or 2-second delays, enabling healthcare professionals to cater to different patients’ needs and activity levels, thus reducing false alarms and the time taken to investigate them.

The new M200 also enables two pads to be connected to a single monitor at the same time, eliminating the need to continually disconnect and reconnect pad cords, which both improves safety and frees up staff time.

In addition to these key upgrades, the M200 has been redesigned to provide intuitive operation and greater durability.

The unit is protected with a robust latex-free ‘bumper’ to protect it from wear and tear and comes with a choice of tamper-resistant or easy-access cover over the monitor’s settings panel and battery compartment.

Both visual and audible alerts are included in the design of the unit.

Colour-coded LED visual alerts provide a clear indication of the status of the unit, including a red alarm warning and a useful amber setting to indicate when the unit is in Hold or Suspend mode.

These modes provide a 30-second or two-minute alarm delay to enable a patient to be moved without triggering an alarm.

Audible alerts come in the form of four pre-set alarms at three differing volume levels.

Alternatively, the M200 provides users with the opportunity to record an individual alarm per patient, such as a reassuring voice from a family member.

The unit comes with multiple mounting options and electric or 3v Lithium battery power source to ensure alerts can be easily seen and heard.

Extremely easy to use, the M200 can be configured to auto or non-auto-reset, automatically stopping an alert once the patient is back on the pad, or requiring a staff member to reset the monitor.

It can also be readily integrated with most nurse call or e-call systems, for maximum effectiveness and flexibility.

STANLEY Healthcare offers an array of Sensormat pads designed to work with the M200 Fall Management System, including bed, chair, toilet/commode and floor pads, plus seatbelts.
