McKesson announces new BCIS reporting functionality in its cardiology solution
New functionality helps increase speed and ease of BCIS data collection and reporting and reduces manual data validation
McKesson Imaging and Workflow Solutions today announced the general availability of the new collection and reporting functionality for BCIS data as part of its Cardiology CVIS solution.
The new functionality helps to increase the speed and ease with which data for adult cardiovascular interventions is collated in line with reporting requirements for the BCIS annual audit, while enabling organisations to reduce the amount of manual data validation required.
McKesson has developed the new functionality of the McKesson Cardiology CVIS solution to help hospital cardiology departments automate and manage their BCIS data entry workflows to promote better efficiency, effectiveness and provide accurate data, for audit with ease.
The new functionality is designed to support a trust’s business registry by providing the cardiologist with a single central source for all intervention-based data entry and validation, including a complete set of business and validation rules, and integration with Cath reports. The solution helps to remove duplication of data input and offers a complete, user-friendly solution for BCIS data entry.
This new method is proven to save clinical time by providing physicians with all of the information required to complete a BCIS submission in one place, with validation reporting functionality providing a list of all discrepancies on first entry.
