Assura hands over keys to latest project

Assura has completed its latest project, a new 25,000sq ft integrated healthcare centre in Bewdley, Worcestershire.

The new multi-purpose medical centre, which was delivered in partnership with Matrix Medical, will bring a variety of central primary care services to Bewdley, including 25 consulting and treatment rooms as well as a pharmacy.

Additionally, the premises have been fitted out with the latest medical technology, which will enable doctors to perform minor operations on site.

Paul Warwick, development manager at Assura, said: “With the increased pressure on the NHS at present, we are committed to easing this by bringing intelligent, well-connected premises to local communities across the country.

The Bewdley Medical Centre is our 34th in the West Midlands, which brings our total portfolio to over 350 properties, and we aim to continue facilitating the access to advanced primary care services across the UK for the benefit of local communities and the NHS.”

Dr Matt Davis, A GP partner at the centre, added: “The benefit to the Bewdley community as a result of this development is a more-streamlined healthcare service, gained from the integrated care facilities within the centre.

“This will allow for a more-convenient NHS experience, both for the patients and medical staff.

“Bewdley residents can expect a modern, innovative and sympathetically-designed environment, capable of handling the increasing healthcare needs of today’s society.”
