Conference

London, UK

This conference focuses on the future shape of public health policy and the role of health and wellbeing boards (HWBs).

It will be an early opportunity post-election to consider the way forward for promoting public health and reducing inequalities - and further opportunities for integration with health and social care following the roll-out of the Better Care Fund - bringing together policymakers with public health professionals, local authorities, patient and campaign groups, and other interested parties.

Discussion will be informed by a House of Commons Public Accounts Committee report which raised concerns on the distribution of ringfenced funding allocations to local authorities for public health, plans to devolve health and social care in Greater Manchester, and Public Health England’s From Evidence into Action framework for the next five years.
