OLM, an independent social care software and services provider, has announced the appointment of Paul Clark as children’s social care practice lead and solutions specialist.

OLM has made a significant contribution to the digital modernisation and advancement of social care in the UK and has made several new appointments recently to support continued market growth as it celebrates 30 years of delivering innovation and investment in health and social care.

An experienced professional in the social care sector, Clark brings more than 10 years experience to the role, as a former practitioner, manager, and supporting best practice via his time as a policy and procedures development manager, fulfilling roles at Hartlepool Borough Council and Stockton-on-Tees Council, prior to working, most recently, as business development manager at Servelec.

He will be working between the product, sales, and marketing functions, ensuring that OLM has the right products and services needed within the children’s social care sector.

As the owner of the children’s model office within OLM’s Eclipse Case Management System, he will also promote best practice and ensure all legislative changes are reflected in the system; supporting customers’ current and future requirements.

He said of the role: “It is an exciting time to join OLM.

“I’ve watched its continuous development in the social care market and what excited me most about joining was its ethos about supporting those who receive services and those that provide services.

“Coming from a social care background, it was important for me to work in an environment that shared my beliefs and OLM has a reputation that is second to none in the sector for putting clients first.”

Mark Denton, product director, added: “Paul has a strong understanding of the social care sector and it’s great to welcome him to the team.

“His experience in social care as a user, implementer, and vendor of social care systems brings added depth to the team and further increases the direct experience we have available in helping us develop and deliver products.”
