PEL wins contract for Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust

Firm wins three-year deal including upgrade of the fire prevention and alarm systems and extinguishers maintenance

PEL Services has been awarded the part comprehensive maintenance contract for the fire alarms and extinguishers used by the Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.

The trust provides a range of specialist mental health services and physical healthcare to patients across Oxfordshire.

In 2011, the organisation outlined ambitious plans to improve the safety and quality of its services over a two to four-year period, including an upgrade of the fire prevention and alarm systems and extinguishers maintenance.

The contract with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is for a three-year term plus two further years and covers a total of 95 separate systems and buildings across the county.

Recently, PEL was awarded the fire detection and emergency lighting maintenance contract for a number of NHS trusts in Hertfordshire, before being recommended to Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to provide planned and reactive maintenance for the fire alarms, emergency lighting and extinguishers.
