Paediatrics upgrade for Barnet and Chase Farm

Published: 26-Jul-2011

More than £2m will be spent upgrading the paediatric assessment units at Barnet and Chase Farm hospitals. The work has been agreed by the board of Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals NHS Trust and will help ensure a seamless journey for children and young people when they attend the hospitals for urgent or unscheduled care. The upgrade, which includes a new-build facility at Barnet Hospital and improvement works at Chase Farm Hospital, will also create more appropriate observation and treatment facilities, avoiding the need for a child or young person to be admitted onto a ward to be monitored.
