Funding from Deepbridge Capital, Scottish Enterprise, and the Scottish Investment Bank will support the development of new pre-hospital care technology.
Glasgow-based medical technology developer, Metix, has announced that it has closed its initial R&D funding round of £1.2m, led by UK technology and life sciences investor, Deepbridge Capital.

The funding is supported by investment from Scottish Enterprise and the Scottish Investment Bank.
Metix was founded in 2013 to develop lightweight mobile vital signs monitors for use in the pre-hospital care environment.
Its core products provide market-leading, multi-parameter monitoring solutions for use by paramedic, military, and humanitarian workers.
Metix operates internationally, having two offices in Glasgow and London and a sub-assembly factory in Mexico, all undergoing ISO compliance procedures.
Its research is supported by, and has development agreements with, the largest medical-grade sensing companies in the world.
The funding will be utilised for further research and development as well as enhancing regulatory compliance.
As a result, Metix expects to double its headcount in Glasgow, with increased numbers particularly in technical and clinical validation.
