Patients at George Eliot Hospital contribute to ceramic artwork

Published: 21-Jul-2011

PATIENTS, visitors and staff at George Eliot Hospital were last week given the opportunity to contribute to a piece of artwork that will eventually be placed on permanent display. Local artist, John Commane, led the project, which took place as part of the George Eliot Hospital annual health fair last Wednesday. All those attending were invited to make a contribution to a large ceramic piece of artwork which, once completed, will be placed together to form a single large mural. Commane said: "The hospital's art project has been a huge success, helping to transform many areas of the hospital, making for a more pleasant environment for patients and staff. This project will allow patients, visitors and staff to create something that will be enjoyed for many years to come."
