Philips has announced the appointment of Charlie McCaffrey as health systems sales lead for Philips UK and Ireland.
He joined Philips from the Carestream acquisition in August 2019 and will start his new role on 1 January, 2020, reporting directly to Neil Mesher, chief executive.
Mesher said of the appointment: “I am delighted to welcome Charlie to the Philips leadership team as we will benefit greatly from his considerable experience.
“This is a transformational time for healthcare in the UK and while at the helm of our health systems, Charlie will be instrumental in helping our customers manage the continued digitisation and connective delivery of patient care across hospitals and trusts.”
Previously cluster manager for Northern Europe for Carestream, and with over 20 years experience in technology and healthcare sectors; McCaffrey holds a formidable track record in accelerating the growth strategy of organisations.
He became a trustee of the British Institute of Radiology in 2010 and was awarded a fellowship of the BIR in 2014.
He has also been a trustee of the college board of trustees of the College of Radiographers since 2014.
