Tradebe Healthcare to dispose of waste from 18 NHS health boards

Tradebe Healthcare has been awarded a 10 to 12-year contract from NHS Scotland for the consultancy, collection, transport, recycling, treatment and final disposal of healthcare waste from 18 NHS health boards in the country.

The company provides an integrated waste management service, including specialist consultancy, training, e-tracked collections, treatment and final disposal.

As part of the contract, Tradebe Healthcare will make an investment in a new purpose-built waste treatment facility in the Glasgow region.

The service will start later this year and will cover all NHS healthcare waste producers in Scotland, including hospitals, GP surgeries, dentists, and pharmacies.
