Single Use Surgical unveils new range with improved sampling and reduced recovery time

Single Use Surgical is launching a new range of high-quality single-use cervical biopsy punches.

The company has developed the product at the request of surgeons who were concerned about patient trauma caused by blunt reusable instruments.

Biopsy punches that have become blunt through repeat use and reprocessing ‘mash’ cervical tissue instead of making a clean cut, which results in a poor biopsy sample. Mashing cervical tissue also causes patient discomfort, wound trauma and increased recovery time.

Single Use Surgical’s Tischler-Morgan Biopsy Punches are quality checked to ensure first-time sharpness for improved biopsy sampling, removing the risk of wound trauma and decreasing recovery time.

Patient cross infection and sample contamination is also prevented because the single-use device is guaranteed clean for every patient.

Two options are offered in the Tischler-Morgan style of cervical biopsy punch, one with the traditional straight tip and an improved version with a downward pointing end.
