Technogym devices installed in physiotherapy gymnasium at London Bridge Hospital

London Bridge Hospital has invested £40,000 in new equipment for the physiotherapy gymnasium.

The latest additions from the Technogym range of specialist equipment, will facilitate patient rehabilitation and accelerate patient recovery.

The physiotherapy department treats multiple conditions and injuries ranging from ACL reconstruction and highly -omplex spinal surgery to a common sprained ankle and work-related aches and pains.

The new equipment includes a treadmill, Elliptical cross trainer, Ercolina cable machine, a leg press machine, a leg curl machine, a leg extension machine, recline and upright static bikes, a lat pull down machine and upgraded plyometric and balance equipment.

Commenting on the upgrade, Shalini Clark, physiotherapy manager, said: “The gym space provides the ideal environment for the progressive rehabilitation of sports-specific injuries, and the new equipment ensures that our therapists can push more physically-active patients to return to their previously high level of competitive fitness. Our upgrade will benefit patients and staff alike, providing an exceptional facility for our physiotherapy team to provide the very best care.”

Following this latest investment, the gym can now be fully utilised for cardiac rehabilitation, as well as for patients with breathing pattern dysfunction.
