ICT specialist to help trusts maximise their buying power

Public sector ICT specialist, Stone Group, has been accepted onto the national framework for the provision of hardware and services to NHS organisations across the country.

The framework is run by North of England NHS Commercial Procurement Collaborative (NOE CPC) and NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) and aims to help health trusts maximise their purchasing power by jointly procuring services.

Stone has been accepted onto the frameworks covering the procurement of desktops, laptops, clinical monitors and medical displays, environmentally-friendly sustainably-sourced IT hardware and deployment services.

Commenting on the announcement, Simon Harbridge, chief executive of Stone Group, said: “We understand the healthcare market incredibly well and are looking to expand our relationships with the NHS. It is a sector we feel we can deliver real efficiency gains and cost savings to, while at the same time showing how our technology can be used to improve patient care.”

The contract is set to run for two years, with a further two-year extension possible on completion.
