Stone to supply 6,200 Windows 10 devices to PHE as it undertakes a significant technology refresh

Stone Group has announced that it has been awarded a tender to supply Public Health England (PHE) with 6,200 Toshiba and Lenovo devices as it replaces its existing Windows 7 devices.

The tender, procured through Crown Commercial Services (CCS) Technology Products 2 Agreement (RM3733), will see the executive agency of the Department of Health and Social Care migrate its 5,500 staff to Windows 10 devices, well ahead of the end of support for its current Windows 7 devices in January 2020.

Using its Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) solution, Stone will securely pre-configure every device at its manufacturing facility in Stafford with the image, apps and drivers that PHE’s users require, prior to delivery; ensuring fast and seamless deployment to all PHE locations in the UK.
