Events to provide guidance on best practice, marketing, ethical standards, project evaluation and the impact of arts on health

Managers in the health sector are being invited to learn more about the impact of the arts on patient experience and recovery as part of a series of seminars.

The University of the West of England (UWE) and specialist arts in health consultancy, Willis Newson, have published dates for workshops and courses over the next year.

The events will give arts and health professionals the change to learn from leading academic specialists and experienced practitioners, exploring how to lead effective projects, how to market and communicate work, ethical and safety standards and principles, how to evaluate projects, and giving an introduction to the broader context of government and health policy.

The sessions are open to arts in health professionals, health and social care professionals including arts and occupational therapists, activity co-ordinators, healthcare professionals, public health specialists, psychotherapists and researchers interested in exploring connections between arts and health and developing practice in this area.
