Teal equips new Clock View Hospital with its innovative and bold furniture collections

Award winning mental health solutions provider Teal has equipped the new Clock View Hospital with its innovative and bold furniture collections, as part of a new £25m mental health hospital project in Walton, Liverpool.

Teal worked in close collaboration with key stakeholders to deliver the very best in mental health facilities, partnering with Precise Projects and Mersey Care who in turn worked with Liverpool Sefton Health Partnership Limited to deliver the project.

Teal supplied and installed furniture to create areas which break from traditional NHS mental health environments, marking a revolution in facility design, with areas specifically designed to maximise natural light and create a contemporary and therapeutic environment. Furniture was chosen in fabrics designed to coordinate with the colours integrated into the building design. Clock View will provide short-term inpatient care for adults with a range of common mental health illnesses, as well as a psychiatric intensive care unit.

Lounge areas within the hospital have been equipped with the innovative ‘Velvare’ (www.velvare.co.uk) an ergonomic patient recovery chair, with pressure management seat. Velvare, designed by Jon Crawford features a unique, tactile and hygienic handgrip in moulded PU, ergonomic, profiled back and integral inflatable pockets for adjustable lumbar support and excellent levels of comfort. A visco elastic neck cushion is also provided as standard.
