Water Hygiene Centre appoints Phil Lonsdale as Senior Consultant / Authorising Engineer

Phil Lonsdale has more than 19 years’ experience working in water hygiene and occupational health & safety

The Water Hygiene Centre is pleased to announce the arrival of Phil Lonsdale as Senior Consultant / Authorising Engineer (Water).

Phil has a wealth of professional knowledge and qualifications, along with more than 19 years’ experience working in water hygiene and occupational health & safety. He has advised a diverse group of clients including local authorities, NHS trusts, hospitality & leisure, retailers, residential and commercial property management on how to minimise the risk of water hygiene and legionella.

Phil’s previous experience includes:

  • Consultancy support following HSE improvement notices;
  • Incident Investigation producing a close monitoring program and prioritised action plan to immediately control systems and eradicate legionella count.
  • Third Party Review of legionella risk assessments, evaluating property risk ratings to ensure high risk sites are adequately assessed.
  • Training to a wide range of audience types including directors, all levels of management, competent persons and other personnel.

Along with his extensive experience, Phil is also an active member of the Water Management Society.

Phil will act as an Authorising Engineer (Water) for our clients across southern and central England, providing expert independent advice and guidance to both public and private sector organisations.
