Offsite construction specialist, Western Building Systems, has gained a place on Fusion21’s Modular Building Framework following an £175m expansion of the procurement route.
All buildings within the framework are designed to be compliant with building regulations and present lower carbon emissions than traditional builds.
Nick Verburg, procurement and supply chain manager at Fusion21, said: “Modular offsite construction is an innovative and cost-effective way to deliver buildings for the 21st Century and we are delighted to have expanded this flexible procurement solution in response to market demand and member feedback.”
Western’s managing director, Declan McCloskey, added: “At Western we have long been advocates of frameworks as a means of streamlining the procurement process for large-scale projects.
“Frameworks are easier to use, reduce transaction costs, and encourage continuous improvement within long-term relationships. Therefore, they are much better value for money long term compared to traditional procurement models."
