Inteb to help reduce emissions across 20 properties in the area

Wirral Community NHS Trust has appointed specialist energy management consultants, Inteb, to reduce the carbon footprint of its 20 properties.

The move aims to maximise efficiencies across the estate, both to save money and to help the trust become more sustainable in line with tough government targets.

The contract also sees Inteb provide information for the trust’s reporting requirements, removing the headache of energy monitoring and validation from the shoulders of the facilities management team.

Commenting on the deal, Inteb’s energy services manager, Tom Kelly, said: “We are delighted to have Wirral Community NHS Trust as part of our client portfolio and hope other NHS trusts may follow its lead, recognising the cost and commitment that is attached to their energy usage and making moves to manage this as efficiently as possible.”

She added: “Our energy management team has a proven track record in enabling organisations with multiple properties to make significant energy savings, often through simple changes in behaviour.”

Inteb will be working with the trust to monitor energy usage on a continuous basis using the energy management tool, Inteb Virtual Energy Manager. This will be backed up by expert reporting, creating an accurate report on current and future emissions.
