£3m project will enable GP practice to operate more efficiently

Wildgoose Construction has started work on a £3m medical centre in Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire.

Ashover-based Wildgoose was appointed as the project’s main contractor by medical centre specialist, Matrix Medical.

It is intended that the new centre will enable the practice to operate more efficiently and provide a wider range of services to patients.

The two-storey building will cover 15,000 sq ft and include eight consulting rooms, three nurse treatment rooms, a minor operations suite and other clinical rooms.

It will replace the existing medical practice in Pinkham, which has been deemed cramped and no longer fit for purpose.

Tim Walker, managing director of Wildgoose, said: “We are proud to be associated with this prestigious project and to be appointed by Matrix Medical to carry out the construction work.

“We are confident the people of Cleobury Mortimer will be delighted with their new facilities once completed and will enjoy the architectural excellence built into the design.

Ashley Seymour, development director at Matrix Medical, added: “We are delighted construction work can finally commence and this is testament to the hard work and commitment of everyone involved.”
