Eurocoustic offers Class A sound absorption, A1 reaction to fire, and 30 minutes’ fire resistance as standard

British Gypsum is raising the standard in commercial acoustic ceilings for healthcare organisations with the launch of a new range of high-performance tiles.

The Eurocoustic range offers medical and residential care providers Class A sound absorption, A1 reaction to fire, and 30 minutes’ fire resistance — all as standard.

The range comprises five products that have been designed to satisfy the sector’s specific performance requirements. Tonga, Minerval, Area, Ermes and Clini’Safe are all manufactured to EN 13964 and are fully backed up by British Gypsum’s Specsure lifetime warranty.

The cleanability of surfaces is essential in healthcare and residential care environments. The Eurocoustic range offers wipeable, washable and antibacterial grades supporting regular deep-cleaning and sanitisation routines to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

“There is a growing understanding within the healthcare sector of how acoustic control can significantly improve the recovery and wellbeing of healthcare patients,” said John Newbury, senior product manager.

“The fact that these products carry such high performance in terms of acoustics and fire means that they are suitable for even the most challenging of environments.”

Manufactured from naturally-occurring materials, the stone wool tiles are inherently resistant to moisture and fire, are dimensionally stable, and offer excellent sound absorption.
