A new £9.2m care home is being built in Bracknell, Berkshire.

Construction company, Stepnell, has secured the contract from Bracknell Forest Borough Council to develop the Heathlands Dementia Care Home, a 66-bed specialist care facility in the Crossfell area.

The works include demolition of an old care home on the site, with the new facility due to open late next year.

The building, designed by IBI Group, will include communal living spaces, nursing stations, kitchens, a reception area, hair salon, therapy rooms, a laundry and staff facilities and landscaping.
