Improved web storage makes data monitoring via cloud computing even easier

The T&D Corporation has upgraded its WebStorage Service: improvements in functionality and graphic display facilitate better mobile data logger management.

The T&D Corporation, a leading developer of data logger systems for industrial and public use, is offering clients an improved 20 MB WebStorage Service. The free of charge facility enables users to monitor and administer recorded data via the internet. Advanced operational speed, a selectable display range and an optimised graphic interface are the most important features of the new service. For users of the TR7wf data logger series, the remote function settings have also been enhanced and the maximum number of readings that can be displayed in each graph has been increased from 1,500 to 15,000. Similar upgrades for T&D’s other models are in the pipeline.

T&D’s cloud computing enhancements mean that users can now process and manage their measured data more conveniently from any where, at any time. Data can be accessed via arbitrary internet browsers and shared with additional parties, such as partners and colleagues working at different sites. In the industrial sector, this service can ease workflow and reduce costs. Besides offering the WebStorage Service, T&D also supports its clients with free software which enables easy processing of measured data. While data loggers safeguard and monitor goods and processes, this software enables data forwarded over a network to be managed and documented efficiently.

To prevent unauthorised access to stored data, each user receives a unique ID and password after registration. In cases where data needs to be shared, access can be established by setting up a “read-only ID” which enables data to be viewed but not modified or deleted.
