Donation brings music to Good Hope

Published: 9-Sep-2011

MUSIC is being used to entertain and calm patients as they wait for their appointments at Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield. The initiative follows the donation of an electric piano by local music store, Colbecks. The company has been providing music instruments to the hospital since 2006, enabling Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust to deliver entertainment to patients on the wards and in waiting areas. The trust's music co-ordinator, Esther Jackson, said: "Music benefits patients, so we are delighted to have the opportunity to do this for patients at Good Hope."
