Shackletons leads interior design of new children's care facility

A new respite and long-term care facility for children with a range of disabilities and learning difficulties welcomed its first users as it opened its doors in north London.

Bayis Sheli - My Home – is a £6.9m, state-of-the-art bespoke facility that is the brainchild of a group of visionary young mothers of children with special needs looking for support and quality care for their own children.

Shackletons was commissioned to provide specialist dining, lounge and bedroom furniture for the development with access, space, adaptability at the forefront of the design process.

Chippy Flohr, Bayis Sheli development manager, said: “We are incredibly excited by our new home-from-home facility and know it will benefit many families around the UK looking for the type of supportive care we offer.

“Shackletons understood our needs and requirements and their knowledge and expertise has helped us provide a space without stress and boundaries for our children.”

Located in a secluded and central setting in north London, Bayis Sheli provides residential and respite services for up to 24 children requiring full-time care. In addition daycare is provided for a further 50 children.
