Quadrant Carpets supplies floor coverings for the redeveloped Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital

Quadrant Carpets has provided floor coverings for the redeveloped Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital.

Working with architect, Sonnemann Toon, the company has supplied 320sq m of Powerbond Haphazard to transform outpatient areas at the private hospital.

Agata Zamasz of Sonnemann Toon said: "There were many carpet solutions that matched the project's technical specification, but not the quality design element. Our concept is to provide the patient with a far greater feeling of luxury in the reception, waiting rooms and the medical areas that were involved in this project."

The Powerbond Haphazard range delivers a wall-to-wall impervious barrier. Prior to installation it was subjected to a thorough two-stage testing process to ensure the choice matched the requirements.

The range was developed with hospital environments in mind and is manufactured using high-quality yarns thermofused to a closed-cell cushioned backing to ensure the carpet performs flawlessly throughout its 25-year guaranteed lifecycle.

Zamasz said: "Initially the project team was investigating carpet tiles as the solution and it was Quadrant Carpets that recommended the roll version of Powerbond for this project. We have been very impressed.”
