CXAIR helps trust to maximise the value of data and monitor the quality of service delivery

Connexica’s CXAIR data management and analytics platform has been chosen by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to help improve performance management through the automation and enhancement of current data management and reporting processes.

As part of the project, Connexica will also work with the trust to create a digital clinical assurance system based on the CXAIR platform to monitor the quality of clinical service delivery.

The deployment of CXAIR across the enterprise will help the trust to maximise the value of the data it currently collects by connecting data from a series of disparate clinical and operational system together within the CXAIR platform into a single consolidated view.

Sophisticated analytics generated based on this integrated data view will provide the organisation with a range of consistent and reliable, actionable insights that will help identify performance issues early on, and to provide an evidence base for informed decision-making, innovation, and business change programmes.

Key to the project is the trust’s desire to empower business users within the performance management team with the ability to ‘self-serve’ against their own information requirements by enabling them to quickly and easily create their own visually-appealing reports and analyses without the need for specialist technical skills or IT involvement.

Working in collaboration with Connexica, the trust will also make use of the form-based data capture aspects of the CXAIR platform to create a Digital Clinical Assurance (DCA) system for recording mandatory clinical audits and providing assurance at an organisational level for the quality of clinical services being delivered.

The DCA will collate a variety of current assessment processes, guidelines and compliance frameworks already in place to maximise the efficiency of the assurance process.

And data captured by the DCA will automatically be fed back into the CXAIR platform, where the powerful analytic capabilities of the platform will provide near-real-time reporting and highlight issues to key staff in a timely way, enabling remedial action to be carried out.
