Artis zee MP from Siemens to be used for fluoroscopy, digital subtraction angiography, paediatric, scoliosis and general interventional work

St George’s Hospital, part of St George’s Healthcare NHS Trust, has installed an Artis zee Multi-purpose interventional imaging system from Siemens Healthcare.

The new system is being used for a number of procedures including fluoroscopy, digital subtraction angiography, paediatric, scoliosis and a general interventional workload.

The Artis zee MP includes ergonomically-designed controls for streamlined workflow, fast image acquisition and advanced post-processing. It is equipped with all the latest Combined Applications to Reduce Exposure (CARE) features and CLEAR post processing technology, delivered as standard and supporting image quality at the desired dose.

Its range of versatile clinical applications makes it suitable to perform a wide range of angiography and fluoroscopy examinations. This helps the department to extend its interventional capacity to include procedures such as line insertions and sialography.

“We selected the Artis zee MP based on its imaging quality, dose reduction features and ease of use,” said Sue Baillie, superintendent radiographer at St George’s Hospital. “The system is within a state-of-the-art imaging suite, assisting with the expansion of our interventional capacity. The support from Siemens clinical applications specialists has been very good.”
