Guardian Water Treatment brings environment technology to UK

Advanced Oxidation Technologies a low-energy way to keep drinking, manufacturing, leisure and cleaning water from Legionella

Guardian Water Treatment is introducing its proven, patented technology into the UK to help hospitals or other healthcare facilities to meet their own environmental pledges to use the greenest products possible.

Working on a standalone basis, or where appropriate alongside traditional methods, building owners and managers now have a complete range of options for keeping water safe while adopting best practice.

Guardian Water Treatment teamed up with Sweden’s Wallenius in 2011 to make the company’s Advanced Oxidation Technologies (AOT) available as a chemical-free lower-energy way of keeping drinking, manufacturing, leisure and cleaning water as free from the potentially-fatal Legionella bacteria as is possible - to 99.99% certainty.

Guardian’s Martin Tyrrell said: “Research tells us that people want the organisations they deal with to use the most environmentally-friendly way of producing or using energy and many healthcare environments see doing just that as an ambition, but not always a pre-requisite to how they provide services. And many are not aware that there are newer methods of keeping water used in a healthcare environment clean and compliant - often without using chemicals at all. Not all solutions suit all situations, but to make decisions on water hygiene without considering all the current options available building and facilities managers might not be fighting bacteria – particularly Legionella - with the best weaponry at their disposal.”
