This year the Building Better Healthcare Awards promises to be the biggest and best to date, with a record number of entries and a rapidly growing guest list.
And today we can reveal the much-anticipated menu for the afternoon ceremony; a plush four-course meal with fine wines.
To start, all guests will be served oven-baked potato soup with white truffle and olive oil. This will be followed by a meat dish of chicken chasseur, using free-range chicken sourced from an exclusive invitation-only farm in Norfolk.
The butter-caramelised breast will be served on a bed of Yukon gold potato puree with seasonal greens and a chasseur sauce decorated with pearl onions, woodland mushrooms and a hint of tarragon.
Vegetarians will be served The Brewery’s own hand-made gnocchi with artichokes and broad beans coated with a vermouth sauce and rocket cress.
All diners will then be treated to a dessert of Forest Plate, designed to look like a woodland. This stunningly-attractive dessert features a rich, light chocolate parfait with orange-infused marshmallow and a crunchy pistachio ice cream with chocolate and olive oil crunch.
The meal will be rounded off with tea or coffee and petit fours and there will be a choice of chenin blanc white wine and a Cinsaut cabernet sauvignon.
More than half the tables have already been secured in anticipation of the shortlist being announced in the second week of September, so we advise early booking to avoid disappointment.
There are also a limited number of category sponsorship opportunities still available, which guarantees a high-profile presence to companies wanting to promote their products and services to attendees at this year's event.
The awards ceremony, which follows a champagne reception and exhibition, will be hosted, for the second year running, by GP-turned-comedian, Dr Phil Hammond.
