A new anti-ligature window design has been unveiled aimed at mental health and custodial facilities.
The system is the result of a partnership between façade specialist, Wicona, and Fendor. Features include:
- A smooth internal face with no ledges or lips and a reduced number of joints
- Anti-ligature window hardware
- A perforated aluminium mesh fixed into the aperture to maximise fresh air
- Sight lines reduced by around 40% to allow a high level of natural light, helping to enhance the internal environment and wellbeing for occupants or patients
- An easy-to-clean, low maintenance design
- Full compliance with Building Regulations Part L 2010 and thermally broken for energy efficiency
The windows are available in a durable white polyester powder coating to suit clinical environments, as well as other single and dual colour options.
