Canon demonstrates new and latest medical imaging technologies
Company shows off latest launches at European Congress of Radiology
Canon Europe will be showcasing its latest healthcare IT and digital radiography (DR) solutions at the European Congress of Radiology, being held this week in Vienna.
All of the solutions on show will empower healthcare professionals to perform at their best and improve workflow efficiency, while ensuring compliance. Furthermore, Canon’s innovative imaging technologies enable practitioners to push the limits of radiology, with fast throughput, lower doses, and a true focus on patient-centric care.
On the stand, visitors can test-drive several of the DelftDI radiography solutions and applications. Thanks to new software features, such as Scatter Correction, Tomosynthesis and OneShot Long Length, Canon’s radiography solutions enable medical professionals to work more efficiently and in a patient-friendly manner.
In addition to the broad range of solutions on show, Canon experts will be available on the stand to explain how Canon’s Healthcare IT suite has been developed specifically to improve efficiency in hospitals by enabling the sharing of health records, reducing time and costs, and ultimately improving care for patients. As part of this, Canon will be showcasing its new full workflow solution for zero-footprint viewers, which can now also be used to view radiotherapy images and non-DICOM images.
Canon will also be demonstrating the applications of ZillionIQS – a database of radiography images that would have previously been rejected as unsuitable for medical analysis. Developed in conjunction with the Dutch Society Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy, the ZillionIQS enables medical professionals to learn from these images to help improve quality standards and compliance. Canon’s ZillionInsight will also be on show, which is a dashboard to dynamically collect statistical information of radiography patient care, from waiting time to length of examination and staff that patients have been seen by. This solution is for easy interpretation of these statistics to facilitate departmental efficiency improvements.
