The team at Catfoss treats each new enquiry as the start of a long-term partnership to deliver an effective cost and time efficient service to the NHS, priding ourselves on an open and agile approach to each individual enquiry

Catfoss is a specialist in off-site construction for the NHS & Healthcare Sectors with an enviable reputation for the fast delivery of 'turnkey' projects. Our portfolio of completed buildings includes:

  • Operating Theatres
  • Imaging & Scanning Suites
  • Winter pressures and permanent ward accommodation
  • Maternity units
  • Accident & Emergency
  • New front entrance/ retail

As a family-run business established over 30 years ago with a head office in Beverley, East Yorkshire and UK wide coverage, Catfoss offers offsite solutions that include concept and project feasibility, planning and design, site enabling works, groundworks, superstructure, construction, internal architectural and clinical fit out. Catfoss also offers fully funded turnkey development solutions should capital be limited, subject to building application and use, which can often be cost neutral to the end user and in some cases can provide a capital contribution to the trust.

The team at Catfoss treats each new enquiry as the start of a long-term partnership to deliver an effective cost and time efficient service to the NHS, priding ourselves on an open and agile approach to each individual enquiry. Listening and truly understanding the estate’s challenges before proposing any solutions ensures the service we offer fits within the existing strategy for each trust and provides a real solution, rather than creating further challenges.

On most occasions, the NHS Trusts have a space problem or an issue with the condition and suitability of its existing estate. Because of referral within the NHS the company is regularly engaged at the very early stages of schemes to assist with understanding those issues and be part of the team developing a resolution. This is often before the extent of the problem or the potential requirement is known. In response, Catfoss quickly deploys its resources, sharing its wealth of knowledge and expertise to find the most time and financially efficient solution, while keeping the interruption of the day to day running of the hospital to an absolute minimum.

Why are we different? We believe in supporting the NHS estates team to come up with a strategy that works for them, which often presents its own challenges to us. All our buildings and schemes are developed in tandem with the onsite teams and existing supply chain. This ensures our bespoke offsite solutions are built and delivered to meet the NHS’ ever evolving needs, and it is why we are fast becoming the supplier of choice to be actively involved in the long term estates strategies at multiple NHS Trusts throughout the UK.

Our most recent clinical building deliveries are:

  • 28 bed ward to Derby hospital
  • 3 storey treatment centre including a 28bed ward, surgical suites, imaging suites as well as outpatients clinics to Queen’s Hospital, Burton upon Trent
  • Maternity led unit at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.
  • Front entrance buildings incorporating retail areas at Milton Keynes Hospital, Poole Hospital and Colchester Hospital which also included an extension to A&E.
