Warning over CME syringe pumps

Syringe pump sets manufactured by CME are being recalled amid concerns about potential leakages. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has issued a warning concerning T34 syringe pumps with product code numbers 100-172S, 100-170S, 100-172SLL, 100-172SB and 100-172SC manufactured before January 1 2001 by CME, also known as McKinley Medical UK. Any organisations using the devices are urged to contact the manufacturer amid reports that there is a potential for leakage at the female luer connector. All equipment should be taken out of practice and returned.
